When you look for a job, the application process and the interview process are the two most important ways you have to gain a positive impression with the interviewer. Take your time when filling out your application.
The next step is the interview. The interview is the single most important element in obtaining a job. It gives the interviewer an introduction to you as a person, and gives you a face-to-face opportuity to establish a strong first impression.
Most interviews last between 20-30 minutes. You usually have 5 minutes of the interview to persuade the interviewer that you are the best person for the job. Go to your interview PREPARED to answer questions about the job and to sell yourself, your ideas, attributes, and skills that will do the job well. Do Not "wing it." Do not inflate your skills or experiences.
