Phone Etiquette
Page 3

No matter what resource you use you will then need to find additional information on the deadline, resume, and interview date, usually by calling the company or person offering the job. This call is as important as the rest of the interviewing process, therefore, use proper phone etiquette.

Let them know:

  1. Who you are
  2. Where you're calling from
  3. What you need
  4. How they can help you
  5. You appreciate their effort to give you information. Thank them.

An Example would be, "Hello, I’m John Koosh calling from Twin Falls and I would like to receive an application. Could you please put me in contact with someone who could help me with that?" After receiving the information you asked for, remember to thank them for their time.

Once you have all the needed information, it is time to write a resume or polish up an old resume to fit your prospective job.
